Paylaşılan, Sabancı Ünversitesi Görsel Sanatlar ve Görsel İletişim Tasarımı Lisansüstü Progamı ile Hollanda Breda ve Den Bosch'daki St Joost Akademisi Görsel Sanatlar Lisansüstü Programı'na devam etmekte olan 14 sanatçının katılımıyla gerçekleşen bir atölye ve sergi projesidir. 28 Mart – 3 Nisan günleri arasında devam edecek olan atölyede, sanat pratiğinde iş üretimi ve sergilenmesi üzerine tartışılacak ve çalışılacaktır. 14 sanatçının yeni ve eski üretimlerini kapsayan sergi 3 Nisan Salı günü açılacaktır; sergi 4 – 29 Nisan arasında görülebilir.

AIR DROP STOCKHOLM / ISTANBUL ise, İsveç ve Türkiye'de yaşayan sanatçılara beş haftalığına diğer ülkede yaşama imkanı veren bir misafir sanatçı programıdır. Misafirlik dönemi, izleyicinin katılımına açık bir sunumla sona erer. Proje, bireysel sanatsal pratiklere alan sağlama ve bireyler, şehirler ve organizasyonlar arasında ilişkiler ağı kurma amacını taşır.
Mayıs ve Eylül 2012 olmak üzere birbirini takip eden iki dönem şeklinde düzenlenen programda sırasıyla Hera Büyüktaşçıyan ve Onur Ceritoğlu Stockholm'de Slakthusateljéerna'da, Santiago Mostyn ve Ylva Trapp ve Ellakajsa Nordström ise İstanbul'da 5533'de misafir edileceklerdir.
AIR DROP STOCKHOLM / ISTANBUL Slakthusateljéerna'nın 5533 ile işbirliği içinde geliştirdiği bir misafir sanatçı projesidir. Proje, Framtidens Kultur'un sponsorluğunda gerçekleşmektedir.
SEDA HEPSEV: ONLARCA TANGO

Onlarca Tango, Seda Hepsev'in Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Sanatta Yeterlik Programı'nda yazdığı tezin sergisi 5533’de.
Sergide, Amerikalı çizgi romancı Elzie Crisler Segar'ın 1930 yılında yarattığı “Popeye the Sailor” çizgi romanı ile Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar'ın 1932'de yazdığı “Kadın Erkekleşince” isimli tiyatro oyunundaki karakterler yeni bir kurgu dahilinde ele alınmaktadır.

2012 New Museum Trienali The Ungovernables kapsamında düzenlenen bu sempozyum, Art Spaces Directory başlıklı kitabın sunumu ve bağlamlandırılması amacını gütmektedir. Art Spaces Directory uluslararası düzeyde çağdaş sanat ve sanatçıların beslendiği, sorgulandığı ve desteklendiği mekanları içeren bir rehber kitaptır.

Shared is a workshop and exhibition project realized with the participation of fourteen students presently enrolled at the MFA programs at two art schools: Sabancı University Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design in Istanbul, and St. Joost Academy Visual Art Master’s Program at Breda and Den Bosch in The Netherlands. The workshop will focus on issues related to the production and exhibition of works of art. The exhibition opening Tuesday, April 3, will include both new and previously produced work by the fourteen artists; and the show can be viewed between April 4 and 29.

AIR DROP STOCKHOLM / ISTANBUL

AIR DROP STOCKHOLM / ISTANBUL is a residency program enabling artists living in Sweden and Turkey to reside in the other country for five weeks. The period of residency will finish wth a presentation open to the public. The project aims to provide space for the artist’s individual art practice as well as to establish networks between individuals, cities and organizations.
The program is organized to include two sessions, one in May and the other in September 2012. Hera Büyüktaşçıyan ve Onur Ceritoğlu will be residents at Slakthusateljéerna in Stockholm while Santiago Mostyn /Ylva Trapp and Ellakajsa Nordström will be at 5533 in Istanbul.
AIR DROP STOCKHOLM / ISTANBUL is an artist residency project developed by Slakthusateljéerna in collaboration with 5533. The project is sponsored by Framtidens Culture.
SEDA HEPSEV: A LOT OF TANGO

5533 hosts A Lot of Tango, an exhibition based on Seda Hepsev's Efficiency in Art Diploma Thesis at Yıldız Technical University.
The exhibition makes a new narrative for characters taken from the Turkish play “Kadın Erkekleşince” (Masculinization of Women) written in 1932 by Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar and the American comic book character “Popeye the Sailor” created by Elzie Crisler Segar in 1930.

This symposium, celebrates and contextualizes the launch of the Art Spaces Directory, published in conjunction with the 2012 New Museum Triennial: “The Ungovernables.” The Art Spaces Directory is an international guide to the sites where contemporary art and artists are nurtured, interrogated, and sustained.
